# Reducing Component Cycle Time

**Joe Martello, Roscomac MD, interviewed by MTD talking about how new CNC machines dramatically reduce the time it takes to make components.**

In this video, Joe explains how their new Citizen Miyano CNC machine has bought the cycle time for one component down by 75% from sixteen minutes to four. Clearly a huge time saving but, as Joe says, there are other efficiencies too:

- Three operations down to one and easier logistics on the shop floor
- Easier and faster machine setup
- Less time checking each component
- Less time monitoring work in progress
